    Human Body Functions

Human life process includes organization, metabolism, responsiveness, movements, reproduction, growth, differentiation, respiration, digestion, and excretion.

All these processes work together, in fine-tuned balance, for the well-being of the individual and to maintain life.

The 11 organ systems in the human body are the integumentary system (protective barrier), skeletal system (support and movement), muscular system (body movement), nervous system (coordination and control), cardiovascular system (transportation), lymphatic system (immunity), respiratory system (gas exchange), digestive system (food processing), urinary system (waste elimination), endocrine system (hormone production), and reproductive system (reproduction).

The basic processes of life include organization, metabolism, responsiveness, movements, and reproduction. In humans, who represent the most complex form of life, there are additional requirements such as growth, differentiation, respiration, digestion, and excretion. All of these processes are interrelated.

It varies in texture and thickness from one part of the body to the next.

It is soft, to allow movement, but still tough enough to resist breaking or tearing.

Pineal gland also plays a role in the regulation of female hormone levels, and it affects fertility and the menstrual cycle.
